RB85 Intelligent Noise Reduction Long Range Business Radio

The battery life is very long and will run all day on just one over night charge. They came very well packaged and instruction materials are included. I have nothing but good things to say about this radio set and I really wish I would have found them earlier.

I am very pleased with these radios . I am sure these radios will meet all your needs no matter what you need them for rest assured that these radios will be reliable and last a long time.

These are decent radios. They work as advertised. The range is good as well although objects affect the signal and sound quality. If you are looking for radios for work, hiking etc. I think these will do the job. Construction quality is also good. I would recommend these radios.

Good construction and sound. they have 16 channels @5W/10W. I like the fact that they come with desktop USB cradles and speaker mics. I don't understand the complaints about AC to USB-A chargers not being included. I have a 7-port powered USB hub that I use for charging such things; plus several charge-only multi-port devices as well. If you don't have an extra charger or ten, then you can buy them very inexpensively just about anywhere. These appear to be certified for part 90 use from 406.1 to 480.0 MHz. (FCC ID: 2ASNSRB85) I'm a licensed amateur and use them on the 70cm ham band (420-450MHz.) Be careful not to program them for frequencies that you do not have the legal right to use, especially public safety frequencies. Note that if you don't have an amateur radio or commercial radio license and want to legally use these at the full 10W on the GMRS band, you will need a license. It covers your whole extended family for 5 years. And as of April 19, 2022 the cost in only $35. Most people will probably use these illegally under FRS/GMRS rules. And while you shouldn't do that, if you are going to, then keep your power output below 5W or you will stand out like a bright red beacon to anyone who is knowledgeable about radio. There's also some controversy over using part 90 radios with a GMRS license, but I'm not aware of anyone ever being prosecuted or fined for it. The radio is good and clear sound, we test the radio , the range can reach 3mi, and long range radio, so i recommend it

Radios are fine. Bought a 4 pack radio/mic combo kit for the jobsite. the sound is clear

Great feel in the hand. Perfect size between too small and too big. Noise reduction feature works well in the car with the windows rolled down. Speaker is plenty loud to hear over highway noise doing 65mph. Got about 3 miles with one person in a concrete block home while I drove around with the 2nd radio.

This is a really nice radio, after two days with this radio at work and using on a repeater I can recommend this radio. The range has doubled on both repeaters and simplex and the clarity is top shelf. The only thing I would change and strongly recommend is getting a better tuned antenna for the frequencies you use. I’m using a smiley sma-F antenna and honestly I think the antenna looks perfect on the radio .The charger is USB and you will need an adapter or something to plug it in to but I think it’s safe to say everyone already has this I’d love it if retevis made it to where I could plug a usb cable in to the battery instead of having a charger base like my Radiodity GS-5B in the picture.
