These radios have many very good qualities: simple to use. They have a long range. They are large in size. Audio is very clear. A year later, they are still working fine.

I like that it was easy to use. I used it for vacation RyanBwhile.driving around in 2 vehicles and hiking in Arizoma. Battery life worked well in the Arizona cold and loved that it had usb-c connection, sound quality was good and distinguishable on the road. Due to it being unsecured/unencrypted, started picking up the local Costco transmissions. Hard to figure out the flashlight function though. Partially my fault. Overall, for the price I highly recommend it.

These radios would be perfect to set and forget for use by people who don’t make changes to settings. The range is comparable to other GMRS handhelds. They come with “subchannels” set on every channel. This prevents them from hearing other radios. You have to use the software to change that. These are also called PL, DPL, CTCSS, among others. I changed all channels to use 141.3 (travel PL) on transmit only. This gives you the most flexibility. Some GMRS radios have extra “custom” channels that can be used to set up different repeaters. These do not. There are 30 channels (22 simplex and 8 repeater). If you want to change the PL tone for a channel, you need the software. I like that you can choose to charge with the drop in charger or the USB C port. Likes: easy to use good Sound quality Charging options

great radio,Sound quality was good for about a mile and a half between 2 cars then had static. There was some interference from other radios in the area as well.
