I love this mic, the audio is incredibly loud, clear, and crisp. One thing that really annoys me about this though, is the cord. It's very thin. I think a Kevlar-reinforced cord, similar to that of a Motorola PMMN 4044a would be far more optimal in my opinion. I also think the straight portions of the cord should be shorter. I love the HD1 and the mic, I just think my suggestions would improve the use of the product! I'd love to test any prototype if these ideas are ever applied! :)

I bought one of these to try out and I have only one (1) regret, that I didn't buy another four (4) for my other radios! GREATNESS !!!!! Tough & Durable....just like I like it.
The 3/5mm earbud input on the microphone is an added "bonus feature"... and it works really great when you're in an extremely loud environment and you need to be able to hear incoming calls.

Ordered five (5) of these and I ordered them after seeing one IN PERSON. They are durable, tough and perform as expected. I didn't really need all five but I'm sure I'll find a reason to keep them all.

this mic is just what the dr ordered. i work for the fire service and have a high standard on radios and equipment and this mic is on par with the motorolas that we use. this is more then worth it and a must have for the HD1. very solid and feels perfect for the hand
