Milo
This is probably my favorite handheld antenna. Out of the box it had good SWR in the ham bands, I did cut the antenna just a bit to get it to perform in the 161mhz and GMRS bands, it was really easy to do since the top part is just a thin wire. I then bought some rubber caps, and now it looks great and performs to my preference.
The top part is very flexible and thin, the bottom portion is more robust but still flexible, the center section where you screw the two parts is solid. No issues of the two halves working loose, it has a lot of threads of good quality, well aligned.
This is a really great performing antenna, I wish I could find some SMA-M for my other radios.
